How should we prepare for a changing climate?

The Minuteman Area Group on Interlocal Coordination (MAGIC)’s Subregional Climate Resilience Planning Project is an effort to understand climate vulnerabilities in our region to find ways to make our 13 Towns more resilient.

MAGIC is a subregion of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), the regional planning agency for the 101 cities and towns in Metropolitan Boston. MAGIC is composed of representatives from thirteen municipalities: Acton, Bedford, Bolton, Boxborough, Carlisle, Concord, Hudson, Lexington, Lincoln, Littleton, Maynard, Stow, and Sudbury.

The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) is working with these 13 towns to create an actionable Climate Resilience Plan for our region. We will be assessing vulnerabilities from climate impacts (e.g. increased precipitation, inland flooding, increased heat and drought).
